As this Travel + Leisure article mentions, we grow and make our own virgin coconut oil (VCO). Among the many things that sets Know-It-Oil apart from other VCOs is that we control it from soil to fruit, to pressing, storage and filling. We source our virgin coconut oil from our own organic farm in the island of Leyte in the Philippines … which was one of the hardest hit islands from super typhoon Haiyan (it got hit by another typhoon just recently). While the farm is slowly recovering, swaths of trees were leveled and there is a shortage of organic coconuts that is affecting our production of VCO.
We have been able to produce small batches at a time and get those in stock as quickly as possible. We hope to be able to normalize stocks in the next few months.
