Did you know that true cosmetic acne is “a very sneaky kind of acne” that shows up a long time after using the product that’s causing the breakouts? This means that if you break out soon after trying a new product, it’s doubtful that it’s the product’s fault (you’d need several days or weeks of use for the acne to show). It also means that accurately identifying what is causing the acne is a real challenge. Be strict about non-comedogenic products to avoid cosmetic acne as well as bigger cysts that can be caused by long-term pore cloggers.
